Choosing a scene, look and colour

Pick a category, then a look within it, then a colour if the look offers one. Default leaves the colour to the look.

Every image is directed by a scene, chosen in three steps:

  1. Category: White, Studio, Prop bed, Mediterranean, Cycladic, Dreamscape, Indoors, Nature or Seasonal.
  2. Look: a specific treatment within it, such as a coloured paper backdrop, geometric plinths, levitation, shredded paper or a marble block.
  3. Colour (only on looks that offer one): pick a swatch, or leave it on Default to let the look use its own colour. Marble looks have their own stone colours.

The product itself stays as it is; the scene only changes what's around it, along with light and shadow.

Which scene should I choose?

  • Marketplaces like Skroutz or BestPrice, or Google Shopping: White. A plain white background is the safest choice for listing photos.
  • Your own e-shop: Studio looks keep a clean, consistent catalogue in your brand colour.
  • Social media and ads: Mediterranean, Cycladic, Nature, Indoors or Seasonal tell a story around the product.

On Pro and Max you can also describe a scene in your own words. See custom scenes.

You can't upload a reference image to copy a background. Scenes and custom scenes are the only ways to direct an image.
