Upgrading, downgrading or changing billing
Change plan in Settings. Upgrades apply at once with a pro-rata charge for the time left; downgrades wait until the end of the period you've paid for.
Go to Settings in the app, then Change plan under Plan and billing. Before every change you see exactly what you'll pay and when.
| Change | When it applies | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| To a bigger plan | Straight away | The difference for the time left in your period, charged now |
| Monthly to yearly | Straight away | The yearly price, less the unused time on your month |
| Yearly to a bigger monthly plan | Straight away | Worked out in the preview before you confirm |
| To a smaller plan | At the end of your paid period | Nothing now; the new price from the next renewal |
| Yearly to monthly (same or smaller plan) | At the end of your paid year | Nothing now; the monthly price from then |
Good to know
- An upgrade gives you the new plan's generations straight away.
- Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment (3D Secure) in a pop-up.
- A scheduled change shows in Settings, where you can Cancel change before it applies.
- If the unused time is worth more than the new charge, the difference becomes credit on your account.
- If you cancelled your subscription, turn it back on in Manage billing before changing plans.
- Moving from Pro or Max to Basic locks batches, photoshoots and custom scenes. See locked features.
